Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a session with you?
Fill out one of my contact forms, depending on what you’re looking for, and I will get in touch with you from there! The booking process is super easy. We have a little chat, decide what day/time works for all of us, and then I send you an all-in-one booking file with all the information for our time together! For my portrait sessions, it is a $50 non-refundable retainer to set your date!
What is your turnaround time?
For portraits, engagements, and seniors, and newborns, my turnaround time is about a week, sometimes sooner. For weddings, elopements, and special events, my turnaround time depends on how long I was booked for and how many images came in your package. I try my best not to keep my clients from their beautiful photos for too long!
How do I get my images?
Your images will be delivered to you in your own private online gallery through email. You will be able to make a favorite’s list, download, share, and order prints from your gallery!
Where are you located?
I am based in Beaufort, SC, but I am willing to travel! Anything outside of a 30 mile radius of Beaufort will have travel fees.
I’m not good at photos, what do I do with my hands?!
So, as someone who rarely gets their photo taken because I am insanely awkward in front of a camera, my style is definitely movement and candid based. My best advice is to not look at me or the camera unless told to and try and interact with your partner or family members as much as possible. That is where the magic and beautiful moments happen. I basically play paparazzi with some guidance. I will throw out some prompts and maybe a pose here and there, but I really try to stick with the candid and natural moments during a session.
My kids hate having their picture taken, what will you do to get them to smile?
Hey, I’m right there with you. Just about every picture of my four year old is a mean mug or pouting. I totally get it. Any sessions involving children are child-led because nobody wants to argue with a toddler about smiling for a photo. What I tend to do is let the child(ren) explore, run around, jump, play, etc to loosen up and get comfortable with me and the camera. There will be lots of tickling and playing and “OMG look at that in the sky!!!”. If there are props, toys, or snacks that your child loves and you would like to bring to the session to entice them to smile or look my way, bring it!
